What is a personal list ? ABCollection offers you the possibility, free of charges, to create and manage a personal list. However, this service is reserved to individuals. A personal list allows you to group and feature on your reserved pages, items that are for sale, trade or wanted. This is the Internet equivalent of hardcopies lists, with the advantage of an easy and constant update or modification of a list. A member is allowed only one personal list. He might modify, update or remove his/her list of often as he/she wishes. |

What are the parts of a personal list ? A personal list is composed of four parts : The home page This page includes all the general data, such as : - Your pseudonym - Your terms of sale - The shipping charges - Room reserved for general remarks To view an example of a home page, please click here The sell part This part includes every item you have for sale. For each item, you might enter a description (limited to 120 characters), a price and the condition of the item. For clarity purposes, items are classified under rubrics. Those rubrics correspond to the same country of origin and/or the same period of a group of items (example : France, France 1939-1945, etc...). The sell part can include up to 20 rubrics. To view an example of a sell part, please click here The trade part This part includes every item you have for trade. For each item, you might enter a description (limited to 120 characters) and the condition of the item. For clarity purposes, items are classified under rubrics. Those rubrics correspond to the same country of origin and/or the same period of a group of items (example : France, France 1939-1945, etc...). The trade part can include up to 5 rubrics. The layout is similar to the sell part. The wanted part This part includes every item you are looking for. For each item, you might enter a description (limited to 120 characters) and the condition of the item. For clarity purposes, items are classified under rubrics. Those rubrics correspond to the same country of origin and/or the same period of a group of items (example : France, France 1939-1945, etc...). The wanted part can include up to 5 rubrics. The layout is similar to the sell part. |

How to create a personal list ? The creation of a personal list is divided into four steps that are used to specify the four parts that compose a personal list. In order to create a personal list, please click on the Second, click on the Third, click the First step : In this step, you will be prompted to enter all the data that will be included in the home page of your personal list. Second step : In this step, you will be able to specify the headings of the sell, trade and wanted rubrics that will be included in your personal list. The form allows you to specify up to 20 headings for the sell part, 5 headings for the trade part, and 5 headings for the wanted part. With the help of the scrolling menus, please specify as many rubric headings as you wish to insert in each part. The headings include two criteria : period and country of origin. However, if you wish to do so, you might select only one criterion for each rubric heading. You might also specify the same criterion for several rubrics. Then, specify for each rubric the number of items that you wish to insert for this rubric. To view an example of a sell part, please click here Third step : The data entered during the second step are summarized in this step. The headings of the rubrics under the sell, trade and wanted parts, as well as the number of items you wish to insert under each heading will be displayed. At this point, you will still be able to make modifications, or if you are pleased with your inputs, go to the fourth and last step. Fourth step : In this step, you will be able to enter a description for each item (limited to 120 characters), the condition of the item with the help of a scrolling menu, and the price of each item. If you wish to do so, you might log off and work offline to enter those data. After you have entered all the data, you will able to log on again by validating the fourth step. Your personal list will then be created and viewable by the website visitors. |

How to manage a personal list ? Once your personal list has been created, you will be able to modify, as many time as you wish the following :
Remarks : - If you remove a rubric, all the items listed under this rubric will also be removed. - If you rename a rubric, all the items listed under the old rubric heading will be listed under the new rubric heading. - Whatever modifications are done, a confirmation page will be displayed, which you will have to validate. This confirmation page allows avoiding validating wrong data. |
